Decide if sleeping naked is right for you. Do you share a room or bed with other people or siblings? Do people constantly access your room without knocking? Is there no door for privacy? If you sleep in your own room, you should probably tell your parents that you want more privacy and you want them to knock before coming in (and/or outright inform them that you prefer to sleep in the buff so that they take you seriously when you tell them not to come in). If you sleep in a room with roommates or siblings, this is really something you should discuss with them before you attempt to sleep naked; don’t be surprised if the idea isn’t warmly received. If you can't solve any of the above issues, consider sticking with pajamas to avoid confrontational/embarrassing situations.

Find a place to keep your clothes/robe in case of an emergency. Unless you are a violent sleeper, consider placing them at the end of your bed where your feet are; otherwise, place them on the nightstand beside you or within arm’s reach under the bed. If there is a fire, earthquake, robbery, etc., you need to make sure you have easy access to some kind of outfit so that you can focus on safety and not the humiliation of a late-night streak down the driveway.

If you live with other people, make sure you are the last one to go to bed. Say goodnight to everyone and get into bed with your night clothes on. When you are sure everyone is in bed and won't be checking on you, slip off your clothes and place them in your designated spot, preferably where nobody will see them, but where they will be easily accessible to you.

If you aren’t allowed to have or use a lock, consider (lightly) blocking an inward-opening door with something inconspicuous like a pair of jeans (on carpet) or a slightly wedged sneaker (on slippery surfaces); this will buy you time to pull the blanket over yourself if necessary before someone pops into your room. If you’re a light sleeper, put a bell or other noisy object on your door to give yourself a heads-up
- 5If morning privacy is an issue, use an alarm clock. Get the jump on everyone by setting it a little early and getting dressed before anyone is up and about. Though an alarm clock can be downright annoying and counteract the relaxing benefits of sleeping naked, it’s still less stressful than having someone to walk in on you only half-covered by sheets.
6 Keep extra blankets for cold nights. There's no such excuse as "It's too cold to sleep naked"; your body is great at temperature self-regulation and will create a cozy little pocket of warm air under a suitably thick cover. If your comforter isn’t good enough to trap this heat on cold nights, throw another blanket on top before settling in.
7Don't be bashful! It may seem awkward at first, but it should only take a few days to get comfortable with sleeping naked. (Waking up surprisingly more refreshed and energized than usual is a powerful incentive.) Even if someone does find out about your new habit, just remember: it's only your body.
